Building your new home should be a fun and co-operative process, and by providing a ‘one-stop’ solution from concept to move-in date, we aim to provide nearly as much enjoyment from building your new home as you’ll get from living in it
If you already have your section that’s great, we will be able to start with our site checks, this will include: layout, building regulations, relation to sun, consents and any other issues. There may also be sites that require geotechnical reports to ascertain the stability of the land. This will all be managed by us on your behalf. If you don’t have a section that’s fine EcoStar Homes can offer you a selection of House & Land packages in your area.
Once your site is sorted, we then want to understand what it is that you really want in a home. That’s why it is important for us to know your dreams and desires from the start. Our experienced team member will document your ideas and specific requirements, your plans and budgets. This initial meeting can be at your site, or in our office – wherever you prefer.
Once we understand your requirements, the great thing about Ecostar Homes is the flexibility and versatility of the plans. Once you have selected from one of our plans, we can modify it to suit your needs right in front of you. . Can’t find a plan that works no problem, let’s mix and match or start from scratch with a new concept design. Your finalised design will be assessed by one of our in-house Homestar Assessors at this point to establish the Homestar Design Rating it will achieve. At this stage we provide cost estimates ready for you to either accept or amend.
Once we have your Ecostar Home design finalised with all your changes taken into account along with, specifications and site details we will present you with a fixed priced quote. This is a fully inclusive price with NO hidden extras! This is great for peace of mind and is just one of our many advantages.
Great you have accepted your quote, let the “Build” begin so sit back and relax. From here we will arrange for all building contracts to be written up. We are happy to liaise with your lawyers, bankers and any other advisors. This will ensure that all of the “i’s are dotted and the t’s crossed”. This is also when your plans will proceed to the full working drawing stage ready for council submission.
As we deal with the council on a daily basis, this is all taken care of for you. This will also help with prompt approvals.
While those plans are in council waiting to be approved, you can be enjoying the fun part of your design by selecting the colours and finishes for your new home. We offer a free consultation with our professional interior designer and colour consultant who can help you bring your ideas together.
Upon consent approval, we’ll contact you to arrange a meeting on site with your project manager. He will issue a detailed construction programme which will show the time line for the job and confrm a start date. At this stage, the progress payments will commence as per your contract.
During the build we will hold regular site meetings so you can see firsthand the progress being made. In addition you will be able to follow our regular progress updates through our website and social media sites. Progress payments will be made as per the terms of your contract throughout this construction stage.
And finally – handover! Once your new home meets with your approval one of our team members will meet you at your home to present you with the keys and your Home User Guide which contains your product warranties and information about your home and the surrounding area.
On completion your home will be assessed by our Homestar Assessors and will be issued with a Homestar Built Rating.
During the frst 12 months we will keep in touch with you to ensure that everything is performing as it should and you are getting the most out of your new home
